Quiet methionine market stays weak in China

Prices of methionine remained soft during the week ending July 23.

Methionine demand remained sluggish in China as poultry feed producers were not motivated to expand production.
Price quotes of imported dl-methionine were in the range of RMB17.50-18/kg.

Methionine prices are likely to move lower modestly as sellers attempt to close deals.
