China's June soy imports surge 32% on-year

 
 

China's soy imports in June rose 32% on-year to a record high monthly volume of 6.2 million tonnes, the General Administration of Customs said Wednesday (Jul 21).

 

For the first half of the year, soy imports rose 17% to 25.8 million tonnes.

 

June soy imports rose 42% on-month.

 

China is the world's biggest importer of soy and gets most of its supplies from the US, Brazil and Argentina, the world's leading producers.
