Philippines buys 41,900 tonnes of feed wheat

A group of Philippine feed millers and livestock producers has bought 41,900 tonnes of feed wheat early this week at US$167.75/tonne, on a cost-and-freight basis, for October delivery, traders said Thursday (Jul 20).

The cargo would most likely be from China, one trader said.

Philippine imports of feed wheat in the year to July have reached 572,163 tonnes.

Wheat imports are used to substitute corn, which is a key ingredient in livestock and poultry feeds.
