Worldwide sales of Alltech's Nupro feed addtive up 58 percent

Sales of NuPro, Alltech's nucleotide enhancer, has been increased 58 percent globally in 2007, prompting the company to add a new spray dryer for its Sao Pedro facility in Brazil to meet increased demand.

The spray dryer, made of stainless steel, is capable of producing over three truck loads of NuPro a day.

NuPro is a functional nutrient source manufactured from a specific strain of the yeast saccharomyces cerevisae1026. It is a rich source of highly digestible amino acids and has high nucleotide content. Nucleotides are essential in developing skeletal and cardiac muscle, hepatic and intestinal tissue, and the immune system.
