Robust aqua feed demand keeps China vitamin C prices firm
Although buyers continued to make purchases while vitamin C prices remained low, they were reluctant to stockpile high inventories with piglet population increasing at a slow rate. On the bright side, robust aqua feed demand lent strong support to the vitamin C market, helping to underpin prices during the period in review.
As of July 14, offer prices for pharmaceutical-grade vitamin C stayed stable at RMB24-25/kg
Reduced aqua feed demand will impede the sales of vitamin C hence limiting the upward potential of the market.
