Vietnam approves pork and poultry imports from Finland

Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has approved imports of Finnish pork and poultry, as announced by Finland's Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Yle Uutiset reported.

Finland's Agriculture Minister Sari Essayah highlighted the significant role played by the Finnish Food Authority and the Finnish Embassy in Hanoi in finalising the agreement.

Up to now, Finnish food exports to Vietnam have been relatively limited, with last year's export value totalling approximately EUR 175,000 (US$191,000)

According to Minister Essayah, the new agreement is expected to significantly boost Finnish export figures to Vietnam in the coming years.
