Argentina sees lowest volume of grains traded since 2017 in first half of 2023

Argentina's monthly traded volume of soybeans closed in June at its lowest level in at least the last six and a half years.
According to SIO Grains data starting in 2017, the total volume of grains traded in the country in the first half of 2023 was 51.4 million tonnes, including soybeans, corn, wheat, sunflower, sorghum and barley. This value constitutes the lowest figure for the first half of the year on records, dating back to 2017.
Almost every month of this year has seen the lowest commercialisation of soybeans in the last five years. The only exception is May, which reached the eighth-highest monthly volume traded.
