Taiwan's Maize Industry Procurement Association obtains Brazilian corn
The Maize Industry Procurement Association (MIPA) of Taiwan bought 60,000 tonnes of corn originating from Brazil, in a tender which closed on Thursday (July 12), according to European traders.
Price was said to be 60.6 cents a bushel c&f over the Chicago December corn contract, traders said.
The tender had sought 54,000 to 60,000 tonnes of corn from the US, Brazil or Argentina.
Shipment was for September 16-30 from the US Gulf Coast or either of the South American countries.
