Thailand's C.P. Group to deepen Vietnam investments in high-tech agriculture, AI and smart farming
The group's chairman met Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister in Hanoi on 10 July, reaffirming a three-decade commitment to the country's integrated Feed-Farm-Food model.
Thailand's Charoen Pokphand Group (C.P. Group) has signalled plans to expand its investments in high-tech agriculture, digital transformation and AI-powered production in Vietnam, following a meeting between group chairman Soopakij Chearavanont and Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung in Hanoi on 10 July 2026.
The two sides discussed opportunities for strategic cooperation in smart agriculture, food supply chains, AI applications in corporate management, digital ecosystem development and sustainable agricultural growth. Dung said the Vietnamese government welcomes C.P. Group's continued expansion, recognising its contributions over more than three decades through its integrated Feed-Farm-Food model, which he said has strengthened food security, supported livestock development, promoted value-added processing and boosted agricultural exports.
Soopakij said C.P. Group integrates digital technologies, AI and modern solutions across every stage of its projects - from farm design to implementation - to optimise energy use, improve productivity and enhance product quality. The company is also investing in renewable energy, clean energy, material recycling and advanced technologies to support a sustainable agricultural model.
Dung said Vietnam is prioritising the development of a modern, ecological, circular and low-emission agricultural sector, with science, technology and digital transformation identified as key economic growth drivers. He encouraged C.P. Group to expand in high-tech agriculture, smart farming, low-emission production and modern traceability solutions.
The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed that the Vietnamese government would continue to provide conditions for sustainable, long-term foreign investment operations in the country.
