Pussalla and Aviagen bring 30 Sri Lankan producers to Bangkok seminar on maximising Ross 308 breeder performance

The event covered male management, female flock development and nutritional strategies to improve hatchability and reproductive persistency across the production cycle.
Sri Lankan poultry producer Pussalla Meat Producers organised a breeder management seminar in Bangkok from 14 to 17 May 2026, bringing together approximately 30 customers from across Sri Lanka to focus on maximising chick output from the Ross® 308 breeder.
Presenting on behalf of Aviagen were Antonin Bonneau, President of Aviagen Asia; Yash Jaiswal, Commercial Manager for Aviagen Asia; and members of the Ross technical support team. The programme covered male management practices to sustain fertility throughout the production cycle, strategies for developing females capable of maintaining persistent egg production, and nutritional approaches to enhance hatchability and overall reproductive performance.
"Producing more high-quality chicks begins with a balanced approach to breeder management," said Jaiswal. "By combining strong genetics with best management practices, producers can improve flock persistency, fertility, and hatchability while maximising the value of every breeder flock."
Dilshan Wewita, Managing Director of Pussalla Meat Producers, said close collaboration between Ross and Pussalla enables customers to benefit from both industry-leading genetics and local technical support. "Events like this create valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, discuss local challenges, and help producers achieve consistent performance with Ross 308," he said.
