Ukraine's June meat output climbs 6.3% on-month

In June, Ukraine's production of meat and by-products rose by 6.3% to 81,368 tonnes compared with May, but fell 1.8% on-year, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

In January-June 2010, production of meat and by-products increased by 7.7% or 33,853 tonnes, compared with the same period last year, to 473,987 tonnes.

Meat processing enterprises in May lowered production of meat and by-products by 3.4% to 76,534 tonnes, compared with April.

In 2009, production of meat and by-products rose by 0.2% to 920,512 tonnes, from 2008 levels.
