Hong Kong resumes importing of UK poultry

Hong Kong's Centre for Food Safety has resumed processing applications for importing British poultry.

Hong Kong suspended imports of British poultry in June after bird flu cases were discovered at poultry farms in Oxfordshire.

The decision to resume imports is made in view of control measures taken by British authorities and that no further bird flu cases have been reported, according to the Centre.

However, restrictions remain for the counties of Suffolk, Norfolk, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire as the Centre continues to monitor the situation.
