Heilongjiang posts 86% surge in H1 meat export

In the first half of 2010, exports of meat products from Heilongjiang Province grew 85.7% on-year to 12,000 tonnes.

Total exports of pork, beef and chicken climbed 200%, 74% and 67% respectively.

Exports of meat products from the province were made by 11 enterprises including Qiqihar Jinluo Meat Products Co., Popular Meat Packing, Heilongjiang Binxi Cattle Indust. Co., Heilongjiang Chia Tai Co. and Beidahuang Food Co.

Besides meat production, Heilongjiang has the greatest number of milk cows and the highest production of milk among all the province-level divisions of China.
