Ukraine reports 580,000 tonnes of new crop sold on exchange market
Trade in grain crops of the 2010 harvest on Ukraine's exchange market had amounted to 579,100 tonnes as of July 8, according to the Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry.
A total of 100 tonnes of grain crops was sold under domestic contracts, while 579,000 tonnes was sold under export contracts.
Grain feed crops were sold in the amount of over 354,000 tonnes, including wheat - 11,500 tonnes, corn - 40,000 tonnes, and barley - nearly 302,720 tonnes.
Trade in bread grain on the exchange market amounted to 215,000 tonnes, with wheat forming the entire volume of grain crops. A total of 9,880 tonnes of leguminous crops was sold on the market.
