Report: Russia may expand meat exports to the Philippines

The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, in coordination with the Russian Trade Mission in the Philippines, reports that it will expand its meat exports to the Philippine market.
In July of this year, the ban imposed in 2021 on the supply of Russian poultry products was lifted and an updated version of the veterinary certificate for the export of poultry meat and offal from Russia to the Philippines was agreed
Currently, the National Register of the Philippines includes nine Russian enterprises producing these goods.
Thus, the export of poultry products to the Southeast Asian country is possible if the conditions are met:
• compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements and conditions of supply of these types of products;
• Rosselkhoznadzor surveys of enterprises producing and storing these goods and their inclusion in the Register of Exporters of the Cerberus component of the Food and Grains Regulatory System (FGIS) and Veterinary Information System (VetIS) in the Philippines;
• certification of manufacturing enterprises by a foreign competent authority and their entry into the relevant Register.
An updated version of the veterinary certificate for the export of beef, beef raw materials and beef offal from Russia to the Philippines has also been agreed with the Philippine side.
Currently, two Russian beef producers have been certified for supplies to the market of this country.
