Groundbreaking ceremony marks start of Topigs Norsvin-Muyuan pig farm in Gansu, China

Topigs Norsvin and Muyuan Foods witnessed the start of establishing a nucleus pig farm near Wuwei in China's Gansu province at a groundbreaking ceremony held on June 30.

The project is a joint venture between both companies and demonstrates a shared commitment to excellence and progress in pork production in China. It will have a capacity of 1200 sows and will house both maternal and terminal sire lines.

The farm forms the foundation of a breeding infrastructure that will provide high-quality genetics for Muyuan as well as other producers in China, according to Topigs Norsvin.
