Vietnam to apply one-time quarantine, fee to poultry eggs

A dispatch to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of provinces and cities has been sent by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, instructing the veterinary departments to apply one-time quarantine and fee to poultry eggs.

The fee will be VND4.5 (US$0.0002) per egg applied to commercial eggs and VND5.5 (US$0.0003) per egg to reproductive and incubated eggs.

At the same time, departments give instructions to poultry eggs collecting, processing and distributing companies to follow veterinary hygiene and food safety requirements so that when pathogen is detected, the place of origin can easily be found and also to avoid charging quarantine fee more than one time.
