China will auction 20,000 tonnes of frozen pork on July 10
The China Merchandise Reserve Management Center said it will auction 20,000 tonnes of frozen pork from the country's state reserves on July 10, Reuters reported.
Altogether, China has auctioned 370,000 tonnes of frozen pork from its state reserves in an effort to boost pork supplies in the country.
China is steadily recovering from an African swine fever outbreak, which decimated its swine herd. The recent COVID-19 pandemic had slowed down government measures to boost swine production.
