Production of Armenian meat falls in Jan-May

The production of meat in Armenia, including sausage products, fell in January to May 2010 as compared to the similar period in 2009 by 10.6%.

The production of meat food fell to 1,387.2 tonnes, said the National Statistical Service of Armenia.

According to the source data, production of meat food, including sausage products in Armenia in January to May 2009 totalled 1,551.5 tonnes. Meat production in January to May 2010 fell by 7.5% per annum to 14,705.4 tonnes.

In 2009, the total output of meat reached 21,600 tonnes in Armenia through January to June.
