Orffa establishes Scientific Advisory Board

Professor Leo den Hartog, emeritus professor of Sustainable Animal Nutrition at Wageningen University, has been appointed Chairman of the newly formed board.
Orffa has announced the establishment of a Scientific Advisory Board (SAB), with Professor Leo den Hartog appointed as its inaugural Chairman to lead the board's formation and oversee its scientific independence and credibility.
Professor den Hartog is internationally recognised for his contributions to animal nutrition across research, academia and industry. His involvement from the earliest stages of the selection and onboarding process is intended to ensure the scientific quality and independence of the board.
The SAB will bring together recognised scientific leaders from Europe, Asia-Pacific and Latin America, representing disciplines central to Orffa's strategic focus areas of gut health, feed efficiency and mineral nutrition. The board will provide independent scientific insight and identify emerging research opportunities, supporting Orffa's research priorities and innovation roadmap. It is expected to be formally constituted in the coming months.
"Science has always been at the heart of Orffa. The establishment of our Scientific Advisory Board and Leo's appointment as Chairman represents an important step in further strengthening our scientific foundation and ensuring that we remain at the forefront of innovation in animal nutrition," said Haiko Zuidhoff, CEO of Orffa.
Professor den Hartog added: "I am honoured to take on this role and help establish a highly respected, independent international advisory board. By bringing together leading scientists from different regions and disciplines, we can foster scientific exchange, stimulate public and industry debate and support the development of practical, science-based solutions for the livestock industry."
