China Choline Chloride: Producers cut prices amid lower costs (week ended Jul 4, 2022)

Lacklustre hog feed demand impeded the sales of choline chloride. Producers slashed prices as the costs of raw ingredients fell of late.

Export prices of 50% choline chloride and 60% products fell substantially to US$00.95/kg and US$1/kg respectively while those of 70-75% liquid products dipped to US$1.10/kg.

In China, transacted prices of 50% choline chloride decreased to the range of RMB6.37-6.50/kg and those of 60% choline chloride dropped to RMB6.70/kg. Prices of 70%-75% liquid products plummeted to RMB7.37/kg.

Choline chloride demand will remain weak as hog feed consumption is slow amid low animal inventories. Producers will keep prices low in a bid to entice buyers while production costs are lower.
