Czech Republic's 2020 grain crop forecast drops 3.3% on-year
The grain harvest of Czech Republic will lower by 3.3% this year to 6.78 million tonnes, according to the Czech Statistics Bureau (CSU) on Friday in its first crop estimate this season, Successful Farming reported.
Last year, the grain harvest totalled 7.02 million tonnes.
The following forecasts are based on data collected as of June 10. The data are actual wheat harvest results: 4,547,934 tonnes for 2020-June and 4,812,163 tonnes
2019-final.
The overall area sown with basic grains decreased to 1,250,765 hectares, from 1,272,357 hectares harvested in 2019.
