Corn prices in China edge higher in most regions early this week (Jul 7, 2005)

An eFeedLink exclusive report

Corn prices in China edged higher in most regions early this week.

Prices continued to strengthen in the north-eastern production regions amid improved trade there.

Prices in the Yellow / Huai River production regions picked up slightly in recent days, particularly in Shandong province where tight local corn supplies caused prices to rise significantly.

Meanwhile, despite insignificant increases in transactions, corn prices in some parts of the southern consumption regions continued to rise marginally, pushed higher by prices in the production regions.
