Indiana, US company recalls ground beef products due to E.coli contamination concerns

Merkley & Sons Packing Co., which is based in Jasper, Indiana, the United States, is recalling certain ground beef products due to possible E. coli contamination.

The recall is the result of routine sampling of 60- 1lb. packages of 80% lean fresh ground beef. Test results had indicated possible E. coli contamination.

The Indiana State Board of Animal Health said affected products were sold in retail outlets in the state between June 7 and June 24.
