Cambodia bans poultry import from neighbouring countries
Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen has imposed a ban on imports of poultry from neighboring countries in an effort to prevent bird flu outbreaks, local media reported Tuesday ( Jul 3).
Poultry, eggs, egg products and frozen chicken would be banned, said Cambodian daily newspaper the Kampuchea Thmey
Hun Sen said the country not only eat to fill their stomachs but also need good and nutritious food, the newspaper quoted him as saying. The country has had six bird flu fatalities so far.
