Western Australia plans to increase support for aquaculture industry
The Western Australian government has indicated that a committee would be formed with the aim of increasing support to the state's aquaculture industry.
The state government added that the current strong Australian dollar is the biggest obstacle to attracting funds for the industry, and the committee would study the banking system closely for solutions to this problem.
Industry feedback also stated that the state's authorities needed to make aquaculture more of a priority and increase research funding in this sector.
