South Korea's pork imports soar from January to June
 

According to the South Korean government, pork imports totalled 138,000 tonnes worth US$310 million from January to June this year.

This marked a 55 percent and 104 percent year-on-year surge in pork import volume and value respectively, or 1.5 times the amount of beef imports at 90,000 tonnes over the same period this year.
