Suppliers' quotes
 
Price quotes of US feed-grade whey slid further to the range of US$661-1,042/tonne.
 
In Europe, whey prices were lower in the range of EUR880-910/tonne.
 

Market analysis
 
Demand for whey remained flat amid low sow and piglet population. Meanwhile, import costs continued to fall as prices of whey dipped further in the US and Europe following recent week's sharp decline. Hence, traders slashed prices of low-protein whey in a bid to entice buyers.
 
 
Market forecast
 
Prices of whey are set to soften due as import costs falls. Market participants expect feed-grade whey products prices to slide towards RMB6,000/tonne under current conditions.
