In the first half of this year, Vietnam is projected to have earned US$2.882 billion from exporting seafood, representing an on-year rise of 10%, the government's General Statistics Office (GSO) said.

In June, the country's seafood exports are expected at US$550 million, equal to that in May, the GSO said in a report.

During January-June, the Southeast Asian country has spent US$334 million on imports of aquatic materials, including US$60 million in June and US$63 million in May, the statistics showed.
