Vietnamese firm invests US$4.49 million on chicken farm
Vietnam's Hung Nhon JSC has invested VND80 billion (US$4.49 million) on a large chicken farm which went operational on June 26.
The Hung Nhon chicken farm, located in Binh Phuoc province, covers an area of 20 hectares and includes 18 international-standard farms.
The farms are capable of raising more than 1.8 million chickens a year, providing market with 5,400 tonnes of chicken.
Around 4,500 tonnes of chicken parts a year will be used to produce organic fertiliser. In addition, the company has also invested in building a VND70 billion egg-laying hen farm on an area of 6 hectares.
The company also plans to build the Dong Phu Fertiliser plant which will produce 40,000 tonnes of fertiliser per year at an investment of VND40 billion.
Vu Manh Hung, general director of the Hung Nhon Company, said his company would work with the Vietnam Joint-Stock Company to invest in another US$20 million poultry project.
