Jefo Nutrition appoints John Thornton as Vice President, Global Sales

Thornton succeeds Abdallah Zankar after 12 years of service and joins as the company pursues a CAD256 million (US$187.8 million) expansion project.
Jefo Nutrition Inc., a global provider of high-precision non-medicated nutritional solutions for farm animals, has appointed John Thornton as Vice President, Global Sales, succeeding Abdallah Zankar after 12 years in the role.
Thornton brings more than 25 years of experience in the global animal nutrition industry, having held senior commercial leadership roles with major industry players. He holds a Master of Science in Animal Nutrition and an advanced business degree from the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School at University College Dublin.
In his new role, Thornton will lead Jefo Nutrition's global sales operations across more than 80 countries, with a focus on expanding strategic partnerships and supporting growth in key markets including the United States, Brazil and Southeast Asia.
"I am delighted to join the company at such an exciting time, as it continues to build strong momentum in the market," Thornton said.
Thornton's appointment comes during a period of significant investment for Jefo Nutrition. Earlier this year, the company announced a CAD256 million expansion project, supported by the government of Quebec and Investissement Québec, aimed at increasing production capacity and strengthening its global competitiveness.
Jean Fontaine, Founder and President of the Jefo Group, said Thornton's international experience and science-based commercial approach positioned him to support the company's next phase of growth.
