Anpario joins UK-based livestock research alliance

Anpario plc has joined the Centre for Innovation Excellence in Livestock (CIEL), which is based in York, the United Kingdom.

CIEL is a world-leading livestock research alliance, bringing new technologies and processes to livestock food production. The group provides a collaborative network of expertise, helping to tackle major challenges faced by livestock producers, including resource efficiency, antimicrobial resistance, health and welfare management and food safety, quality and integrity.

"Our main focus is understanding animals' intestinal health and nutrition, so we can help our customers achieve optimum performance," said David Wilde, global innovation manager with Anpario. "Joining CIEL will help to open additional doors for our research and product development, with the aim to support the requirement for sustainable and healthy food."

He added: "Being a member of CIEL provides us with access to tailored support in generating more research and development opportunities. By working with other industry members and academic partners within CIEL, we can enhance and grow our current portfolio of feed additives, providing customers with effective solutions that deliver value to livestock producers worldwide."
