Ukraine's "Khlib Investbud" to reach three million tonnes grain exports

The official website of "Khlib Investbud", the export division of State Food and Grain Corporation of Ukraine, has informed that in the 2011-12 marketing year, the company plans to reach grains' export volumes at the level of three million tonnes, according to APK-Inform.

According to preliminary data, as of June 1, 2012, the volume of merchandise exports of "Khlib Investbud" totalled nearly 2.8 million tonnes, the major share of which was formed by grain crops - wheat, corn, and barley. Except of grains, the company also supplied almost 19,500 tonnes of oilseeds and leguminous crops (soy and rapeseed), and over 32,200 tonnes of grain by-products - flour, flakes, groats and wheat bran - on foreign markets, said Robert Brovdi, Commercial Director of the company.

Most of the products were sold on the markets of the Middle East, North Africa and the Mediterranean region. We should name Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Israel, Spain and Italy among the priority countries-consumers.

As a reminder, last season (July 2010-June 2011) the company supplied nearly 1.2 million tonnes of grains on foreign markets, entering TOP-five of the largest grain traders in Ukraine in the first year of own operations. Thus, in the current season the company will more than double own trading volumes compared to the previous shipments.
