Russia's grain exports reach 15.4 million tonnes in June

 

 

The export volume of grains from Russia already reached 15.423 million tonnes as of June 20, 2013 and since the beginning of 2012-13 marketing year (July 1, 2012).

 

This was announced by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation on June 26, citing data from the Federal Customs Service of Russia.

 

In particular, in the period of June 1-20 Russia supplied 249,100 tonnes of grains on foreign markets. In the reporting period wheat (116,100 tonnes) and corn (99,400 tonnes) formed the main export volumes. Also, Russia supplied 27,500 tonnes of barley and 6,100 tonnes of other grains on foreign markets.

 

As a reminder, the Ministry of Agriculture forecasts the general grain exports in 2012-13 marketing year at 15.5 million tonnes.
