Five ASF outbreaks in Poland so far this year

 
 

 

There have been five outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) affecting pigs in Poland so far this year, impacting a total of 2117 susceptible animals.


The first outbreak was on April 12 and the rest of the outbreaks occurred in June.


The outbreaks include:


    - April 12: A farm with 16 susceptible pigs in Lubań, Lubań commune, Lubań poviat, Lower Silesian Voivodeship;


    - June 14: A farm with 94 pigs in Wielowieś, Międzychód commune, Międzychód County in Wielkopolskie Voivodship;


    - June 15: A farm with 109 pigs in the village of Bezwola Górne, Wohyń municipality, Radzyn county in Lubelskie Voivodeship; another farm with 682 pigs in the village of Mieczniki, municipality of Banie Mazurskie, Gołdapski County in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie Voivodship;


    - June 16: A farm with 1,216 pigs in Rudzieniec, the municipality of Milanów, Parczewski county, Lubelskie Voivodeship.
