Norel appoints new distributor in New Zealand

Nuplex Specialties, based in Auckland, has commenced distributing Norel Animal Nutrition products in the New Zealand dairy, pig and poultry markets.

Malcolm Meads, regional sales manager, advised "Nuplex Specialties is a leader in the distribution of raw materials into the Agriculture, Food & Nutrition and Industrial markets in New Zealand and Australia. Agriculture represents a significant part of the New Zealand economy and we have strategically targeted this sector for future growth."

In 2011, New Zealand had 4.6 million cows producing 16 billion litres of milk, with more than 50% of the herds having 350 cows or more. As for poultry, there are 98 million chicken produced per year (fully integrated) while the swine population is close to 700,000 heads.
