IGC sees 2009-10 wheat output at 652 million tonnes, unchanged on-month
The world's 2009-10 wheat crop is forecast at 652 million tonnes, unchanged on month, the International Grains Council said Thursday (June 25).
This is a 5 percent fall on year after a bumper crop in 2008-09.
World grain production for 2009-10 was revised down to 1.715 billion tonnes, from the May forecast of 1.721 billion tonnes, due in part to dryness in the European Union and Argentina, the IGC said.
