Ukraine to lift ban on US pork imports

Ukraine may remove the temporary ban on pork imports from the United States, deputy head of the commercial representative of the United States for commercial affairs in Europe and Middle East Christopher Wilson told the Kommersant weekly.

He also said that the World Health Organization has revealed lack of any connection between eating pork and virus AH1N1 flu.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, in April, the State veterinary medicine committee banned the import of pork and pigs from Mexico, United States, Canada, and New Zealand.
