Diamond V appoints new head of Farm Certifications Unit
Diamond V has appointed Rodrigo Carranza as its director of market access and head of the Farm Certifications Unit, a component of the company's Market Access team.
"I'm excited to have Rodrigo join us," said Dr. Darin Henry, global director of ruminant business strategy and food safety for Diamond V. "Earlier this year, we announced the acquisition of Agri-Ed, Inc, which operates the Dairy Quality Center and certifies dairy, beef, and veal herds across the US for packers, processors, and retailers under the Verified Premium Plus Audit Program."
Dr. Henry added that Carranza will expand the programme's footprint and enhance what Diamond V has to offer to producers, retailers and consumers.
"As leaders in the food industry, we're meeting growing consumer demand for animal proteins raised in the most humane and sustainable way with the highest stewardship standards in the industry. Rodrigo brings a passion for helping farmers fulfill the promise of nourishing the world with a safe, sustainable, and healthy food supply," Dr. Henry said.
Prior to joining Diamond V, Carranza worked for Boehringer Ingelheim as head of marketing (Latin America, cattle).
Previously, he was a national sales Leader for the Dairy Enterprise Group at Cargill. He also worked with Pfizer/Zoetis for 16 years, finishing his tenure as an associate director with the company's US-based divisions of centralised business services and diagnostics platforms.
