Kazakhstan's egg production grows steadily in Jan-May
In the first five months of this year, the volume of egg production in Kazakhstan has grown steadily, totalling 1,512.9 million units, which is almost 6% higher than the same period of 2012.
This was reported by the Federal Static Services of the country.
According to the report, the highest level of growth in egg production was registered in the farms of the Almaty region, where almost 20% of all eggs in the country were produced (about 333.4 million units).
This year, the average monthly figures are exceeding last year's level by 10-15 million units. For example, in May alone, the country produced 348 million eggs compared to 336 million in May of 2012.
In addition, the report mentioned the significant increase in the number of poultry stock. As of June 1, the number of poultry in Kazakhstan was close to 36,796,000 heads, an increase of 183,000 heads compared to last year.
