United Grain to export likely 1.5 million tonnes of grains
OJSC United Grain Company will export nearly 1.5 million tonnes of grains by the end of the present season, reported Sergei Levin, General Director of the company, on June 22.
Such export volumes will allow to the company to confidently enter into the TOP-10 of Russian grain exporters with a share of 5-6% of the general exports of grains, he said, noting that the season became the first full-featured year of exports for United Grain Company, as in the previous marketing year (MY) Russia faced the temporary ban on the exports of grains.
S.Levin also noted that the volume of grain exports in the next season will depend on the world market situation and the grain harvest in Russia in 2012. At the same time, the General Director said that the company puts the aim to increase grain export volumes.
