China's Fishmeal Imports in May Totaled 48,600 MT

According to China's General Administration of Customs, China imported a total of 48,600 metric tons of fishmeal in May 2004. Of the total imports, 23,900 tons were from Peru, 8,600 tons from Chile and 5,000 tons from the US.

From January to May 2004, China's accumulative fishmeal imports totaled 291,718 tons, the Customs data shows.
