Lithuania's meat output grows as dairy production declines
Lithuania 's meat production (carcass weight, excluding variety meat) rose by 10% in 2010, while egg and milk production shrank by 3%.
The rise in meat output resulted in the increase of pig and poultry-slaughtering by 21% and 9% respectively. Livestock slaughtering shrank by 5%.
Exports of live calves declined by 3% on year to 128,100 heads, and exports of live pigs fell 21% to 442,600 heads.
