China's pork prices fell by 0.23 percent in the week ending June 20 at an average RMB14.53 (US$2.12) per 500 grammes, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) said Monday (June 23).

In May, China's consumer inflation rate slowed to 7.7 percent from 8.5 percent in April.
Food costs, which make up one-third of the consumer price index and have fuelled inflation, climbed 19.9 percent in May against 22.1 percent in April.
