South Korean Live Fish Imports Rise 22% In Jan-May Period

South Korea's imports of live fish increased 22 percent to 23,448 tons in the first five months of the year, the Korea Customs Service said Thursday.

The sharp rise was attributed to local importers' reluctance to buy beef and poultry from abroad following last year's scare.
