UAE allows resumption of Saudi poultry product imports
Based on information from the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE), the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted its ban on imports of chilled and frozen chicken and table eggs from Saudi Arabia, according to the Emirates News Agency.
The UAE had banned poultry product imports from Saudi Arabia due to a H5N1 bird flu outbreak there in late-March.
However, the UAE Ministry of Environment and Water decided to resume the imports after the OIE expressed satisfaction with Saudi Arabia's safety measures to bring the disease under effective control.
