Vietnamese seafood exports to China on the rise
Vietnam's seafood export earnings are expected to increase between 10 and 15 percent due to China's increasing demand for the country's seafood.
750 tonnes of seafood were exported to China the previous week, 57 tonnes more than the first week of this month.
On average, 1 tonne of seafood exported to China is worth US$3,450 while one kilogram of frozen shrimp sells for US$6-8.
Vietnamese seafood exporters were reportedly unable to fully meet China's huge seafood demand.
