Poultry Becomes 2nd Largest Industry In Pakistan

Poultry has become the 2nd largest industry in Pakistan with Rs.75 billion investment as 8,247 millions eggs, 402,000 million ton poultry meat and 352 million birds are produced annually to cater to the ever increasing demand of white meat in the country.

This was stated on Friday at 22nd World Poultry Congress and Exhibition held at Istanbul, Turkey by the leader of the 14 members Pakistan Poultry delegation renowned scientist Talat Naseer Pasha, Professor and Dean faculty of Animal Production and Technology, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, according to a message received here today.
