Rise in China's May pork prices

 

 

Pork prices in China had increased in May, official data showed.

 

The average pork price index in 16 provincial-level regions tracked by China's Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was ¥20.83 (US$3.1) per kilogramme in May, up 14.8% month on month.

 

The price index dropped 13.3% compared with the same period last year, narrowing by 23.8 percentage points from the previous month's decline.
