ECO receives Malaysia's authorisation for Aivlosin^® water soluble granules

ECO Animal Health Limited (ECO) has announced that it has received a marketing authorisation from the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency of Malaysia for the use of Aivlosin^® 625 mg/g water soluble granules in egg-laying chickens.

The approval, the second in Southeast Asia, follows the European approval received in June 2016.

ECO will start selling Aivlosin^® in Malaysia for the medication of drinking water, in order to combat infections caused by Mycoplasma in egg-laying poultry. The product has a zero day drug withdrawal period for eggs.

ECO has begun the process of submitting Aivlosin^® regulatory files for the treatment of layers in several egg-producing markets.

Aivlosin^®, ECO's patented antimicrobial, is used under veterinary prescription for the treatment of a variety of economically important respiratory and enteric (gut) diseases in poultry and pigs.

Malaysia is ranked as a global top twenty egg-producing country and home to four of the ten largest egg producers in Asia. This latest approval demonstrates ECO's continued progress to becoming a major force in the international market for veterinary pharmaceutical products."
